Terms and Conditions
By booking a yoga retreat or workshop you agree to the following:
1. All deposits and payments are non-refundable. If you are traveling, it is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance to protect your investment and your health and well-being. It is important to arrange travel insurance before traveling, covering for medical expenses due to illness or injury, the loss of baggage and travel documents, plus cancellation or curtailment of your journey. If and only If the retreat fills up completely and someone takes your spot, a partial refund may be given at Passport To The Hearts discretion minus a $400 administration fee.
2. There is a minimum of 8 retreat participants to confirm this retreat. If there are not enough participants, it will be canceled and your deposit will be refunded. We recommend not purchasing flights until the retreat is confirmed. Passport To The Heart is not responsible for any losses due to purchased flights, visas, passports, vaccinations, time loss, or any other losses. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.
3. That I am participating in the Yoga Retreat or Workshops offered by Passport To The Heart during which I will receive information and instruction about yoga and health. I recognize that yoga requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.
4. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the Yoga Retreat, or Workshops. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition that would prevent my full participation in the Yoga Retreat or Workshops.
5. In consideration of being permitted to participate in Yoga Retreat or Workshops, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, illnesses, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the program or during my stay at the location.
6. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in Yoga Retreats or Workshops, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Passport To The Heart, Melissa Andersen or any of my teachers for injury, damages and/or illnesses that I may sustain as a result of participating in the program or traveling to, from and throughout the event location.
7. I, my heirs or legal representatives forever release waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Passport To The Heart, Melissa Andersen, or any of my teachers for any injury or death caused by her negligence, from traveling, or other acts. I have read the above release and waiver of liability and fully understand its contents. I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
8. I hereby give my consent to Passport To The Heart, Melissa Andersen and any of my teachers and their photographers to photograph me and use the photograph(s) for informational, educational, promotional, marketing or publicity purposes. I understand that the photograph(s) may be used on the Passport To The Heart website or Melissa Andersen or any of my teachers' websites, social media channels, or in displays, marketing materials, ads, or other public locations. I also understand that the photograph(s) may be used without any further consent or authorization from me; the photograph(s) may be modified in the process of editing, and I will not be entitled to any compensation for use of the photograph(s). I also agree to release Passport To The Heart, Melissa Andersen, any of my teachers and their photographers from any and all liability arising out of or connected to the use of the photograph(s) as stated above.
9. I understand that it is highly recommended that I obtain travel insurance and I am aware that all deposits and payments are non-refundable under ALL circumstances, including but not limited to: illness, cancellation of flights, travel advisories, loss of job, etc. If I choose not to obtain travel insurance, I do so at my own risk.
10. Passport To The Heart and Melissa Andersen will do everything in their power to keep the schedule of events and venues as presented on the website. In the case of occurrences beyond her control (i.e. illness, a venue closing down, weather, etc), venues, schedule and yoga teacher/retreat leader may be subject to change.
Cancellation policy:
